Responsibilities:

Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy agricultural machinery.

Identify mechanical and electrical faults and determine the appropriate solutions.

Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability.

Collaborate with the service team to prioritize and complete repairs efficiently.

Maintain accurate records of all service and repair activities.

Qualifications:

Relevant trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.

Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery, preferably in the agricultural sector.

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.

Solid understanding of occupational health and safety practices.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Valid driver's license and the ability to operate machinery for testing and diagnostic purposes.

Heavy Diesel Mechanic — Perth Based (Field & Workshop)
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a new and growing operation in Perth. This is your chance to get in at the ground level and play a key role in establishing a new franchise from the beginning.
This is a permanent Perth-based role — not FIFO — working across both field service and workshop environments.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing a range of construction and earthmoving equipment including:
- Excavators
- Skid Steer Loaders
- Front End Loaders
- Graders
- Other mobile plant equipment
We’re looking for someone with strong diagnostic capability, who can work independently in the field and contribute to building a new workshop operation.
What We’re Looking For
- Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience
- Experience with construction or earthmoving equipment
- Ability to work both in the field and workshop
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Current driver’s licence (HR preferred but not essential)
